The Chambal river is a main source of water for drinking and irrigation purpose.Due to increasing sewage of cities directily discharges to the river without any treatment, the river water pollution increasing continuously year by year.The literature reveals that how many efforts are done by government and non government bodies to control the water pollution and what are the results of these efforts.
