राजी सेठ कृत ‘तत्सम’ उपन्यास में तीन पात्र ह ैं - वसुधा, विवेक

आ ैर आनंद। तीना ें ही अपनी-अपनी परिस्थितियों के कारण अन्तद्र्वन्द्व में रहत े

ह ैं। अन्तद्र्वन्द्व के कारण अपने-अपने ह ैं। वसुधा इनमें सबसे अधिक द्वन्द्वग्रस्त

ह ै। क्या ेंकि यह नारी ह ै आ ैर समाज में नारी क े लिए इतनी सुगमता नहीं ह ै कि

वह अपनी भावनाओं का प ्रकाशन कर सक े। भावनाओं का े दबाने, स्वतन्त्रता न

मिल सकने, रूढिगत समाज के दबावा ें के कारण नारी अधिक द्वन्द्वा ें का सामना

करती ह ै। ‘तत्सम’ उपन्यास यही तथ्य उद्घाटित करता ह ै।

       In the novel Raja Seth, there are three characters - Vasudha, Vivek and Anand. All three live in the inner world due to their own circumstances. The causes of the inner world are their own. Vasudha is the most conflicted among them. Because it is a woman and it is not so easy for a woman in the society to express her feelings. Women face more conflicts due to pressures of feelings, lack of freedom, pressures of conservative society. The 'Tatasam' novel reveals this fact.
