Abstract

 अलवर राजपूताने की बह ुत पुरानी स्टेट नही ं रही लेकिन प ्राचीन तथा
मध्यकालीन समय में प ्राचीन व ैभव की द्वष्टि से अलवर जनपद का विशेष
महत्वपूर्ण स्थान रहा है। भा ैगा ैलिक द्वष्टि से भी देखा जाए े तो अलवर
राजस्थान का सिंह द्वार है।
राजस्थान में अलवर शैली की चित्रकला का महत्वप ूर्ण स्थान ह ै। यहा
के राजा प्रतापसिंह बख्तावर सिंह विनय सिंह बलवन्त सिंह (तिजारा) शिवदान
सिंह मंगल सिंह तथा जयसिंह के समय चित्रकला के क्षैत्र में निरन्तर प ्रगति
होती रही। सुलिखित एंव चित्रित ग्र ंथ यहां की कला की विश ेषता रही ह ै। यहाॅ
के राव राजाओ नंे कला ए ंव कलाकारो को विश ेष स्थान तथा सम्मान दिया।
आज भी यह सुलिखित चित्रित ग्र ंथ अलवर संग्रहालय की प ्रमुख धरा ेहर है।

Alwar is not a very old state of Rajputana, but in the ancient and medieval times, Alwar district has a very important place due to the dualism of ancient glory. Alwar is the lion gate of Rajasthan even if seen from geographical angle. Rajasthan has an important place for Alwar style painting. Raja Pratapsingh Bakhtawar Singh Vinay Singh Balwant Singh (Tijara), Shivdan Singh Mangal Singh and Jaisingh continued to progress in the field of painting. The well-written and illustrated texts have been the specialty of the art here. Here, Rao Rajo gave special place and honor to art and artists. Even today, this well-illustrated painted book is a major heritage of the Alwar Museum.
