Abstract

 सृष्टि में मनुष्य ही एक मात्र प ्राणी ह ै जिसमें सा ैन्दर्य बा ेध हा ेता है

आ ैर इस सा ैन्दर्य बोध के चलते वह स्वयं का े विभिन्न साधना ें से सजा कर

सुन्दर बनाता ह ै। मानव सभ्यता के इतिहास पर नजर डाले ता े प ्रत्येक काल में

स्त्री व पुरूष ने अलग-अलग तरह से इन साधनों का इस्तेमाल किया है जैसे

प ्रकृति में उपस्थित विभिन्न फूला ें व प ेड़ों से प ्राप्त रंगा ें से वह स्वयं को सुन्दर

दिखाता रहा ह ै। सुन्दरता की इस राह में महिलाओं आ ैर पुरूषों के लिए समाज

में अलग-अलग मापदण्ड निर्धा रित किये गये, जिनके अनुसार कुछ चीजें प ुरूष

ही इस्तेमाल कर सकते थ े आ ैर कुछ केवल महिलाआ ें के लिए थी। इसी तरह

कुछ वस्तुएं विपरीत लिंग क े लिए प्रतिबंधित भी की गई।

Man is the only creature in the world that has a sense of beauty and Due to this aesthetic sense, he beautifies himself by various means. If we look at the history of human civilization, in every era, men and women have used these tools in different ways for example He has made himself look beautiful with the colors obtained from various flowers and trees present in nature. In this path of beauty, different criteria were set for women and men in the society, according to which some things could be used by men and some were only for women. Similarly, some items were also banned for the opposite sex.
