Abstract
In today's time, the water level is constantly being lowered, whose basic source is rain water. The Central Water Commission estimates that on an average about 1869 billion cubic meters of water flows into India's rivers every year. There are only 12 rivers in India which have water throughout the year - Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari, Krishna, Narmada, Brahmaputra etc. Women are the main users of water. They use water for cooking, washing clothes, cleaning the family cleanliness.
