Abstract
चन्द्रÛुप्त नाटक का मुख्य उद्देश्य भारतीय जनता को नवजाÛर.ा का नवीन संदेश द ेना रहा ह ै। ताकि भारतीय जनता में स्वतं=ता संÛ्राम की प ूरी निष्ठा और लÛन-जाÛ जाये। कार.ा कि अंÛ्र ेज अजेय नहीं ह ै ं? उन्ह ें हराया जा सकता ह ै। अंÛ्र ेज कहीं से श्र ेष्ठ नहीं ह ैं? भारत का प ्राचीन इतिहास अत्यन्त समृ), शक्तिशाली आ ैर प ्रत्येक दृष्टि से महान रहा है। अपनी श्रेष्ठता की यह अनुभूति ही भारतीयों का े दृ.ा आत्मविश्वास से भर अ ंÛ्र ेजा ें से सामना करने में समर्थ बना सकेÛी। इस अनुभूति का े जाÛृत करने के लिये ही प्रसाद जी ने सन् 1931 में चन्द्रÛुप्त नाटक का रचना की थी। यानी भारत के अतीत, वर्तमान व भविष्य को आधुनिक संदर्भ से जा ेड़ने का प ्रयास किया है। जैसे- हम क्या थ े, क्या हा े Ûये ह ै ं? और क्या होÛें? अपने अन्दर झा ँकने क े लि, प्र ेरित करता है। यही नाटक का सार ह ै।
The main objective of Chandragupta drama is to give a new message of renaissance to the Indian public. So that the Indian public will have full devotion and dedication in the freedom struggle. The reason that the British are not invincible? They can be defeated. Englishmen are not superior from anywhere? The ancient history of India has been very rich, powerful and great in every respect. This realization of his superiority will enable Indians to face the British with full confidence. In order to awaken this feeling, Prasad ji composed the play Chandragupta in 1931. That is, we have tried to connect India's past, present and future with modern context. Like - what have we been, what has happened? What else will happen? Motivates you to look inside yourself. This is the essence of the play.
