                                              Abstract 

 कि सी भी देश की संस्कृति की पहचान और उसका महत्वए समकालीन कलाए स्थापत्य
और शि ल्प तथा साहि त्य के भंडार की गुणवत्ता सेआंका जा सकता हैवि द्या और कला सभी काल में
देश का अनमोल धन रही है। कला हृदय और आंखों को आकर्षि त करती हैए सम्पर्णू र्णवि श्व मेंभारतीय
चि त्रकला उत्तम कोटि की रही हैए भारतीय शास्त्रों के अध्ययन सेपता चलता हैकि कला शब्द को
ललि त कला के लि येएवं शि ल्प कला को उपयोगी कला केलि येप्रयक्तु कि या गया है। सत्य तो यह
हैकि चि त्र बनानेकी प्रवतिृति सर्वदर्व ा सेही हमारे पर्वूजर्व ों मेंवि द्यमान रही हैमनुष्य नेही अपनी मकू
भावनाओं को अपनी तलिूलिका द्वारा टेढ़ी.मढ़ेढ़ी रखे ाकृति यों के माध्यम सेगुफाओं और चट्टानों की
भि त्ति यों पर अंकि त कर अभि व्यक्त कि या। भारतीय चि त्रकला के इति हास का वि भि न्न स्त्रोतों और ग्रन्थों
के माध्यम सेअध्ययन कि या जा सकता है जसै ेकला के ऐति हासि क ग्रन्थ वदेए परुाणए नाट्यए
साहि त्यए संगीतए काव्यए रामायणए महाभारत आदि है। इसके अलावा भारतीय कला को समझने एवं इसकी प्राचीनता का अध्ययन करनेके लि येशि लालखे ों का भी महत्वपर्णू र्ण योगदान रहा है। भारतीय भि त्ति चि त्रों के इति हास मेंजोगीमारा की गुफाओंके बाद अजन्ता के भि त्ति चि त्र भी उल्लखे नीय है। जि नका नि र्मा ण शुगए कुषाणए गुप्त आदि अनेक राजाओंके समय हुआ था। मगु लकाल मेंभी कला का उल्लखे बादशाहों नेअपनी आत्मकथाओंमेंकि या है। भारतीय मद्रुाओंके अध्ययन सेभी प्राचीन भारत के इति हास पर प्रकाश डलता है।

 The identity and importance of the culture of any country can be judged by the quality of contemporary art, architecture and craft and the store of literature, education and art have been the precious wealth of the country in all times. Art attracts the eyes and eyes, Indian painting has been of the best quality all over the world, the study of Indian scriptures shows that the word art has been used for fine arts and for the useful art of craftsmanship. The truth is that the tendency of painting has been present in our ancestors since time immemorial, man himself expressed his silent feelings through his paintbrush through zig-zag drawings on caves and rock walls. The history of Indian painting can be studied through various sources and texts like Vedas, Puranas, Natya, Sahitya, Sangeet, Poetry, Ramayana, Mahabharata etc. Apart from this, inscriptions have also been an important contribution to understand Indian art and to study its antiquity. After the Jogimara caves, the Ajanta frescoes are also notable in the history of Indian frescos. Which were built during the time of many kings like Shuga, Kushan, Gupta etc. Even in the Mughal period, the art has been mentioned by the emperors in their biographies. The study of Indian currencies also throws light on the history of ancient India
