                                                   Abstract

 प्रस्तुत शा ेध पत्र में विवेच्य काल के सन्दर्भ में प्रतिमा शब्द का अर्थ,
विवेचन एव ं उसका स्वरुप निर्धा रण करने का प्रयास किया गया ह ै । यह शा ेध
व ैदिक कालीन देवी-देवताओं की प्रतिमाएँ तथा उनकी लक्षणागत व ैशिष्टय को
रेखा ंकित करता ह ै आ ैर ए ेतिहासिक शोध प्रणाली पर आधारित ह ै । इस शा ेध
पत्र में प्रतिमा से तात्पर्य भक्तिभावना से भावित देवविशेष की मूर्तिअथवा
देवभावना से अनुप्राणित पदार्थ  (संसाधन) विश ेष की प्रतिकृति से ह ै । वैदिक
प्रतिमा विज्ञान में देवी-देवताओं की उपासना को प्रमाणित करने वाले विवरण
प्राप्त होते है ं ।
मेरे शा ेध का उद्द ेश्य व ैदिक वाङ्मय में प्रतिमा विज्ञान (निर्मा ण) का े
प्रमाणित एव ं सत्यापित करना एव ं व ैदिक ज्ञान को संजा ेना है। प्रतिमा निर्मा ण
केलिए निश्चित नियमों आ ैर लक्षणों का विधान हा ेता ह ै इसी सन्दर्भ  में व ैदिक
काल में उल्लिखित प्रतिमाशास्त्रीय शब्दा ें का अध्ययन करना है जिससे यह
ज्ञात हो सके कि प्रतिमा का स्वरुप निर्धारण वैदिकयुग से स्थापित था । प्रतिमा
विज्ञान की वैदिक साहित्य में उल्लिखित प्राविधिक शब्दावली, विवरण, तथ्या ें का
व ैज्ञानिक सत्यापन करना जिससे यह प्रमाणित हो सके कि प्रतिमा विज्ञान का
स्वरुप वैदिक युग में निर्धा रित हो चुका था। इस शोध पत्र में उन व ैदिक
साहित्य में उल्लिखित संसाधनों (पदार्थो) की शब्दावली का े भी प्रकाशित किया
गया ह ै जिनस े प्रतिमा निर्मा ण की प ुष्टि होती हा े ।

In the present research paper, an attempt has been made to determine the meaning, interpretation and form of the word 'Pratima' in the context of the descriptive period. This research outlines the idols of the gods and goddesses of the Vedic period and their characteristic features and is based on the historical research method. In this research paper, the meaning of the idol is the idol of a particular deity engrossed in devotion or a replica of a particular substance (resource) inspired by the spirit of the deity. In Vedic iconography, descriptions confirming the worship of gods and goddesses are found. The purpose of my research is to verify and verify iconography (construction) in Vedic literature and to treasure Vedic knowledge. There is a provision of certain rules and symptoms for making an idol. It may be known that the form determination of the idol was established from the Vedic age. Scientific verification of the technical terminology, description, facts mentioned in the Vedic literature of iconography, so that it can be proved that the form of iconography had been determined in the Vedic age. In this research paper, the terminology of those resources (substances) mentioned in the Vedic literature has also been published, which confirms the construction of the statue.
