                                                   Abstract

 महिलाओं की स्थिति देश के विकास को प ्रदर्शित करती है। विश्व का
का ेई भी देश महिलाओं का े हासिए पर रख कर अपना आर्थिक विकास नही
कर सकता ह ै। महिलाआ ें का े देश के विकास की मुख्यधारा मे जा ेडना ही
होगा। इन्हें सशक्त बनाने के लिए उन्हें निणर्य सक्षम बनाना होगा। सामाजिक,
आर्थिक, राजनीति आ ैर स्वयं के जीवन मे निणर्य लेने की क्षमता ही
सशक्तिकरण ह ै। सयंुक्त राष्ट्र संघ द्वारा 8 मार्च 1975 से अन्तर्रा ष्ट्रीय महिला
दिवस की श ुरूआत की र्गइ  तब से विश्व मे महिला सशक्तिकरण एक
जागरूकता अभियान बन गया ह ैं। इसक े लिए राष्ट्रीय, स्थानीय स्तर पर
विभिन्न प ्रयास भी किए गए। महिलाओं का े सामाजिक-आर्थिक रूप से सुदृढ
बनाने मे स्वयं सहायता समुहा ें ने महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभायी ह ै। देश मे लगभग
60 लाख स्वयं सहायता समुहों से 6.7 करा ेड महिलाएं जुडी र्ह ुइ  ह ै। राजस्थान
मे भी लगभग पा ैने दा े लाख समुह कार्यरत हैं। जा े समाज मे महिला
सशक्तिकरण का सुदृढ साधन ह ै। यह अध्ययन प ुर्व के अध्ययना ें का े नवीन
परिदृश्य मे देखने का प ्रयास ह ै। इस शा ेध पत्र मे मुख्यत महिला सशक्तिकरण
मे स्वयं सहायता समुहों की भ ूमिका का े प्रस्तुत किया गया ह ै।

The status of women reflects the development of the country. No country in the world can achieve its economic development by marginalizing women. Women must be included in the mainstream of development of the country. To empower them, decision making has to be enabled. Empowerment is the ability to make social, economic, political, and decisions in one's own life. Women's empowerment has become an awareness campaign in the world since it was started to celebrate International Women's Day on 8 March 1975 by the United Nations. Various efforts were also made for this at the national and local level. Self-help groups have played an important role in making women socio-economically strong. 6.7 Crore women are associated with about 60 lakh self-help groups in the country. In Rajasthan also, about two and a half lakh self-help groups are working. Which is a strong means of women empowerment in the society. This study is an attempt to see the earlier studies in a new perspective.The role of self-help groups in women empowerment has been mainly presented in the research paper
